Counseling or therapy tends to look backward to heal the hurts of your past that are impacting you today. Coaching looks forward to where you want to be and supports you as you create and implement the action plan that will get you there.

TweetCoaching is not counseling
While I support counseling and believe that it can help, I’ve also learned that not everyone needs therapy to work through the challenges they are facing. Often learning and implementing new skills is all that is needed for you to resolve your problems and start growing closer again. I’m not going to tell you what to do, but help you discover what you can do to get to where you want to be.
What if my spouse won’t participate in coaching?
When one person in a marriage learns new skills and implements them consistently, things can significantly change. Even if you spouse doesn’t want or doesn’t’ think you need help as a couple, getting coaching as an individual can definitely improve your marriage.
Coaching is convenient
Although coaching can be done face to face, Turn It Up! Coaching has found that it is best done over the phone. This eliminates travel time and makes it easy to get help.
